Microsoft has decided to shut down its lightweight email app, Outlook Lite. After May 26, 2026, the app will stop working properly. Although it may still open, most of its features will no longer function.

Why is Microsoft shutting down Outlook Lite?
According to reports, Microsoft had already planned this move. In 2025, the company removed Outlook Lite from the Google Play Store and stopped new downloads by October.
Now, Microsoft wants users to shift to its main app, Outlook Mobile, which provides more features, better performance, and stronger long-term support.

After May 25, 2026, Outlook Lite will become almost unusable. Users may not be able to access their emails, and key features like navigation and settings will stop working.
