Lava International announced last month that it would launch its new smartphone, the Lava Shark 2 5G, in the Indian market. Today, the company has launched this affordable 5G phone in the Indian market.
This 5G phone from Lava, priced under ₹12,000, comes equipped with a large 6,000mAh battery, a 120Hz display, and 8GB of RAM (4GB + 4GB).

Lava Shark 2 5G Price
The Lava Shark 2 is priced at ₹11,999. The company has launched this phone in a single variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Sales of the Lava Shark 2 5G will begin in India on June 10th,
and this affordable 5G phone will be available in Sonar Gold and Arya Blue colors. Lava will also offer free home service for its customers with this smartphone.
Lava Shark 2 5G Specifications
The Lava Shark 2 5G runs on Android 16 OS. It’s a stock Android phone without any external UI layers. This means the smartphone offers a bloat-free and ad-free experience.
It also features expandable RAM technology. This technology allows the phone’s physical 4GB of RAM to be expanded to 4GB of virtual RAM, giving it the power of 8GB.
The Lava Shark 2 5G phone is powered by a UNISOC T8200 chipset built on 6-nanometer fabrication. This octa-core processor is capable of running at clock speeds ranging from 2.1GHz to 2.3GHz.
Indian mobile company Lava claims that this phone can achieve an AnTuTu score of over 500,000.

For photography, this affordable Lava 5G phone features a dual rear camera setup.
The back panel features a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an LED flash, which works in conjunction with a secondary AI lens. There’s a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.
The Lava Shark 2 5G’s biggest highlight is its large battery. For power backup, this smartphone has been launched in the Indian market equipped with a robust 6000mAh battery.
The company claims that it can deliver over 13 hours of YouTube playback time on a full charge. It also features 18W fast charging technology for faster charging.
