HP has entered the tablet market in India with the launch of the new HP OmniPad 12. The company says this tablet is designed especially for students, professionals, and people using a PC for the first time.
One of the biggest highlights of the device is its detachable keyboard. Users can easily switch between tablet mode and laptop mode whenever needed. The tablet runs on Android OS and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
HP has also focused heavily on battery life. According to the company, the tablet can deliver up to 18 hours of usage on a single charge.
HP OmniPad 12 Price in India
The price of the HP OmniPad 12 in India starts at ₹48,999.
The tablet will go on sale in June through HP India, Amazon India, Reliance Digital, and HP World stores across the country.
Display and Performance
The tablet comes with a 12-inch 2K multi-touch display with a resolution of 1,200×2,000 pixels. It supports a 90Hz refresh rate and offers brightness of up to 400 nits.
The screen also features a 16:10 aspect ratio, making it suitable for watching videos, online classes, and productivity work.
The HP OmniPad 12 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SM6475Q processor with clock speeds of up to 2.40GHz. It is paired with Qualcomm Adreno graphics, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB internal storage. Users can also expand the storage using a microSD card.
Camera, Battery and Audio Features
For photography and video calls, the tablet includes a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
HP is offering a full-size detachable soft-cover keyboard in the Mica Silver color option. The keyboard connects through pogo pins and also includes an HP Imagepad for easier navigation.
The tablet packs a 31Wh lithium-ion polymer battery and supports charging with a 33W adapter. HP claims the battery can last up to 18 hours after a full charge.
The tablet weighs around 600 grams, while the keyboard weighs 650 grams.
Connectivity and Other Features
The HP OmniPad 12 supports Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For audio, the tablet features four speakers, two microphones, and DTS:X Ultra support for better sound quality during movies, music, and video calls.
