Hero MotoCorp has given budget bike buyers a big reason to celebrate. The company has permanently reduced the price of the HF Deluxe Canvas Black Edition by ₹7,635, making it much more affordable.
The motorcycle now starts at ₹59,999 (ex-showroom). Interestingly, this is even lower than its original launch price of ₹60,760 in June 2023. Before this latest revision, the bike was priced at ₹67,634 (ex-showroom).
Price Cut Available in Only 4 States
There is one important catch. The new price is currently available only in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh.
Hero has not confirmed whether the same price cut will be extended to other states. However, this move could help the HF Deluxe attract more buyers in these key markets over the coming months.
No Changes to Engine or Features
Apart from the price reduction, the motorcycle remains exactly the same mechanically.
The Hero HF Deluxe Canvas Black Edition is powered by a 97.2cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 7.8 PS of power and 8.05 Nm of torque. It comes paired with a 4-speed gearbox.
The bike also continues to offer a tubular double cradle frame, telescopic front forks, dual rear shock absorbers, and drum brakes on both wheels, making it a practical choice for daily commuting.
Why Did Hero Cut the Price?
Hero has not officially revealed the reason behind this major price reduction.
However, the entry-level commuter motorcycle segment has become highly competitive in recent years.
The HF Deluxe competes with popular models like the Honda Shine 100, Bajaj Platina 100, TVS Sport, and even Hero’s own Splendor.
By bringing the price below its original launch cost, Hero appears to be making the Canvas Black Edition more attractive for budget-conscious buyers.
Sales Have Been Under Pressure
The Hero HF Deluxe has consistently remained among India’s top 10 best-selling motorcycles, but its sales have seen mixed performance in recent months.
In March 2026, Hero sold 85,088 units, down 7.33% from 91,821 units sold in March last year. Sales improved to 91,977 units in April 2026, registering 120.86% year-on-year growth.
However, demand weakened again in May 2026, when sales declined 38.09% compared to the same month last year.
With this significant price cut, Hero will be hoping to boost the HF Deluxe’s sales and strengthen its position in the highly competitive commuter motorcycle segment
