GangaFiber broadband plan has been launched in Uttar Pradesh with a starting price of ₹399 per month for a 50 Mbps connection.

The service also offers access to more than 100 TV channels and 13 OTT platforms with applicable plans.

The broadband service has been introduced under Project GANGA, the Uttar Pradesh government’s digital connectivity initiative.

The programme is being implemented under the State Transformation Commission in association with OneOTT Intertainment Limited.

GangaFiber Broadband Plan Starts at ₹399

The entry-level GangaFiber broadband plan costs ₹399 per month, including taxes, and provides speeds of up to 50 Mbps.

At the higher end, the service offers a 1 Gbps plan priced at ₹1,179 per month.

The plans also include entertainment benefits, with access to more than 100 television channels and 13 OTT platforms.

This combines broadband connectivity with TV and streaming services in the same offering.

 Project GANGA Expands Broadband Access

Project GANGA, which stands for Government Assisted Network for Growth and Advancement, was launched in Uttar Pradesh in June 2026.

Its broader objective is to expand high-speed digital connectivity, particularly through local Digital Service Providers.

More than 3,000 applications have been received from people interested in becoming Digital Service Providers, while more than 600 shortlisted candidates have completed training.

The trained providers have the potential to connect up to 1.5 lakh homes across the state.

The network rollout is being supported through the CM-YUVA scheme, with local entrepreneurs being trained in broadband technology, business operations, marketing and customer service.

The programme is designed to create a local network of service providers rather than relying only on a central broadband rollout.

Training Network for Local Digital Providers

Project GANGA has also established a dedicated training centre in Lucknow and an online Learning Hub.

These facilities are intended to help aspiring Digital Service Providers develop technical and business skills without necessarily travelling to a training centre.

The initiative is expected to expand its Digital Service Provider network as more trained participants begin rolling out local broadband networks.

The programme’s initial phase is therefore focused not only on providing internet connections but also on developing local businesses around digital connectivity.

 What GangaFiber Offers Users

For consumers, GangaFiber provides an entry-level 50 Mbps broadband connection at ₹399 per month, while the available portfolio extends up to 1 Gbps at ₹1,179 per month.

Plans with TV channels and OTT access are designed to combine internet and entertainment services.

Availability will depend on the rollout of the GangaFiber network and local Digital Service Providers in a particular area.

Consumers interested in the service should check whether the network has reached their location before choosing a plan.
