Earlier, Alexa was mainly used for tasks like playing music, setting alarms, or giving weather updates. But now, Amazon is turning it into a complete shopping assistant.

At present, this feature has been launched only in the United States. Users can access it through the Amazon app, website, and Echo Show devices. The company is expected to expand the feature to other countries soon.

Alexa Can Compare Products and Suggest the Best Option

Amazon says the new AI shopping assistant is designed to have natural and conversational interactions with users.

For example, if someone asks, “Which is the best budget smartphone for me?” Alexa will not just show a list of products. Instead, it will compare features, understand the user’s needs, and suggest the most suitable option.

Users can also ask questions like:

Which gaming laptop is best for me?

Which smartwatch gives better battery backup?

Which charger did I order last time?

Instead of giving simple search results, Alexa explains the details in an easy-to-understand way. This could make online shopping faster and more convenient for users.

Price Alerts and Smart Shopping Features

One of the biggest features of Alexa for Shopping is price tracking.

If a user adds a product to their wishlist and waits for the price to drop, Alexa can monitor the price and instantly send an alert when the product becomes cheaper.

This means users may no longer need to keep checking prices again and again. AI can track deals automatically and help people buy products at the right time.

Experts believe this could change the future of online shopping. After Amazon’s move, companies like Google and Walmart may also focus more on developing similar AI shopping tools.
