Vi Voice-Only Recharge Plans have arrived at prices of Rs 142, Rs 156 and Rs 158, giving prepaid customers cheaper options to keep their mobile connections active without paying for bundled internet data.

Vodafone Idea (Vi) has introduced these three plans in response to a directive from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

All three recharges offer unlimited voice calling and 300 SMS, but their validity periods are different.

The plans are aimed at customers who primarily use their phones for calling and messaging, including people who do not need mobile internet.

The new options could also benefit users who maintain a secondary SIM card and want to keep it active at a lower cost.

Vi Voice-Only Recharge Plans: Price and Benefits

Vodafone Idea has introduced three prepaid recharge options with different prices and validity periods.

The Rs 142 plan is the cheapest option. It offers 28 days of service validity, unlimited voice calling and 300 SMS. There is no bundled mobile data benefit.

The Rs 156 recharge provides 30 days of validity along with unlimited voice calls and 300 SMS. Like the Rs 142 option, it does not include any data allowance.

The third option costs Rs 158 and comes with one month of validity. Customers also receive unlimited voice calling and 300 SMS in total under this recharge.

The main difference between these three plans is their validity period and recharge price. All three are designed for customers who need calling and SMS facilities without a regular data package.

Complete Comparison of Vi Rs 142, Rs 156 and Rs 158 Plans

Here is a quick comparison of the three newly introduced Vodafone Idea prepaid options:

Rs 142 Plan: 28 days validity, unlimited voice calling, 300 SMS and no bundled data.

Rs 156 Plan: 30 days validity, unlimited voice calling, 300 SMS and no bundled data.

Rs 158 Plan: One month validity, unlimited voice calling, 300 SMS and no bundled data.

Customers should remember that the Rs 158 plan offers calendar-month validity rather than a fixed 30-day period.

These recharges are different from Vi’s existing affordable plans that combine calling, SMS and internet data.

Vi Rs 149 and Rs 155 Plans Also Available

Apart from the newly introduced voice-only options, Vi already offers other lower-priced prepaid recharges that include mobile data.

The Rs 149 plan comes with 28 days of validity, unlimited voice calling, 300 SMS and 1GB of data.

The Rs 155 plan also provides 28 days of validity, unlimited calling and 300 SMS. It includes a daily data allowance of 1.2GB.

These existing plans may be more suitable for customers who occasionally use mobile internet alongside calling and messaging.

However, customers who do not require bundled data may find the new Rs 142, Rs 156 and Rs 158 options more relevant.

Before recharging, users should compare the benefits carefully and select the plan that matches their calling, messaging and internet requirements.

Why Has Vodafone Idea Introduced These Cheap Plans?

The new recharges follow a directive from TRAI asking telecom operators to provide separate voice and SMS-focused Special Tariff Vouchers.

The regulator’s move is intended to provide more affordable options to customers who do not need mobile data.

This is particularly relevant for feature-phone users, senior citizens and consumers who mainly use their connections for voice calls.

Some customers also maintain secondary SIM cards primarily for receiving calls, messages and important account-related alerts. For such users, paying for a data-heavy recharge may not always be necessary.

TRAI has also directed other major telecom operators, including Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, to offer suitable voice and SMS recharge options.

The new Vi plans therefore expand the choices available to prepaid customers who want to maintain their mobile connections without purchasing bundled internet data.

What Should Vi Customers Know Before Recharging?

Customers should check the validity and benefits of each recharge before making a payment. Although all three plans offer unlimited calling and 300 SMS, the validity differs.

It is also important to remember that none of these three new plans includes bundled mobile data. Customers who need regular internet access should consider a suitable data-inclusive recharge instead.

The availability of individual recharge options may vary depending on the telecom circle and the offers displayed on Vi’s official recharge platform.

For customers who mainly need voice calls and SMS, the new Rs 142, Rs 156 and Rs 158 recharges provide additional low-cost choices.
