Samsung One UI 9 Rollout Begins with the Galaxy S26 series. The new software update was officially released globally on September 16, bringing an Android 17-based experience with new Galaxy AI features and several changes aimed at making everyday phone use easier.

New AI Features in One UI 9
One of the major additions is My FanCam, which is designed for users who frequently record videos. According to Samsung, the feature can automatically track a selected person and try to keep them in the centre of the frame.
The Now Brief feature has also been made more personalised. It is designed to bring important information together throughout the day, while users can better customise the information cards according to their needs.
One UI 9 also introduces Now Nudge, which provides useful suggestions based on the user’s activities and context.
Privacy Alerts and Warranty Features
Samsung has added Privacy Alerts to help users identify potential privacy risks. According to the company, AI can help detect possible risks and alert users so they can take appropriate action.
Another addition is the Warranty and Care section, which brings device information, diagnostics, warranty details and service options together in one place. In some cases, users may also find repair information and service booking options.
Not every One UI 9 feature will be available on every Galaxy phone or in every country. Availability will depend on the device and market.
How to Check the One UI 9 Update
Users can check whether the update is available for their Samsung Galaxy phone by opening Settings and going to Software update, followed by Download and install.
If the update is available for the device, it will appear on this screen. Since the rollout is happening in stages, users may need to wait if the update is not yet available for their particular model or region.
