Tata Safari Price Hike has increased the cost of the three-row SUV by up to ₹25,000.
Tata Motors has raised the prices of the Safari for the third time this year, taking its new ex-showroom price range from ₹13.40 lakh to ₹26.91 lakh.
The base variant has not received a price increase in the latest revision. The top variant has become ₹15,000 more expensive, while some mid-spec variants have received a hike of up to ₹25,000.
Tata Safari Price Hike Reaches ₹25,000
Tata Motors had earlier increased Safari prices by up to ₹22,000 in April. That price revision ranged from around ₹8,700 to ₹22,000 depending on the variant and was limited to diesel variants.
The earlier price changes covered diesel versions of the Smart, Pure, Adventure and Accomplished variants. The revised prices also applied to their Plus, Dark and Stealth editions.
Tata Safari Engine and Variants
The Tata Safari is available with petrol and diesel powertrain options, while an EV version is also available. Overall, the SUV can be purchased in 72 variants.
The petrol version gets a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine producing 168bhp of power and 280Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre diesel engine also produces 168bhp, while its torque output stands at 350Nm.
Tata Safari Features and Safety
The Safari comes with features including a 12.3-inch infotainment system, voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, rear sunblinds and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Other features include wireless charging, an air purifier, rain-sensing wipers, Harman Kardon audio with nine JBL speakers, Electric Boss Mode and wireless connectivity.
On the safety front, the SUV gets seven airbags, hill-hold assist, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, ABS, ESC and disc brakes on all four wheels.
With the latest price revision, Tata Safari buyers will now have to pay more for several variants. The actual increase depends on the specific variant selected.
