POCO has launched its new X8 series in India, and the biggest highlight may not be the camera or design.
The company is putting a major focus on battery life. The new lineup includes the POCO X8 Power and POCO X8, both packing extremely large batteries.
But there’s more. Both phones also come with Snapdragon processors, AMOLED displays and fast charging.

POCO X8 Power and POCO X8 Price in India
The POCO X8 Power is the more premium model of the two.
Its starting price in India is ₹35,999, while the standard POCO X8 starts at ₹29,999.
Buyers can also get a ₹2,000 coupon discount along with an additional ₹1,000 exchange bonus, subject to eligibility and applicable terms.
This could make the effective price lower for customers who qualify for the offers.
Huge Batteries Are the Biggest Attraction
Battery life is clearly one of the biggest selling points of the new POCO phones.
The POCO X8 comes with a massive 9,000mAh battery, while the POCO X8 Power gets an even larger 10,000mAh battery.
The Power model also supports 100W fast charging.
The regular POCO X8 supports 67W fast charging.
Both phones run HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box.
AMOLED Display and Strong Protection
Both smartphones feature a large 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display.
The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and up to 3200Hz instant touch sampling rate.
POCO has also given the phones multiple protection ratings, including IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K for resistance against dust and water.
Snapdragon Chips and Camera Details
The two phones use different Snapdragon processors.
The POCO X8 Power is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.
The standard POCO X8 gets an octa-core Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor.
The Power model is available with up to 8GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 4.1 storage.
For photography, both phones feature a 50MP main rear camera with OIS.
The X8 Power also gets an 8MP ultra-wide camera, while the standard X8 has a 2MP depth sensor.
For selfies, the Power model comes with a 32MP front camera, while the standard X8 gets a 16MP front camera.
With massive batteries, fast charging and Snapdragon chips, POCO appears to be targeting buyers who want long battery life without giving up performance.
