Tempsens Instruments IPO has opened for subscription on August 20, 2026, giving investors an opportunity to participate in the public issue of the thermal engineering and specialised cable solutions company.
The IPO will remain open until August 24.
The ₹650 crore issue has a price band of ₹285 to ₹300 per share. The IPO consists of a fresh issue worth ₹95 crore and an offer for sale of up to ₹555 crore.
Tempsens Instruments IPO Key Details
The minimum application is for one lot of 50 shares. At the upper end of the price band, retail investors will need ₹15,000 for one lot.
The IPO is expected to be allotted on August 25, while the shares are scheduled to list on the NSE and BSE on August 28. These dates are subject to the final issue process.
Tempsens Instruments manufactures temperature sensing products, industrial electrical heaters and specialised cables.
Its products cater to industries such as metals, power, oil and gas, petrochemicals, automotive, pharmaceuticals and other industrial sectors.
What Will Tempsens Do With the IPO Money?
The fresh issue component of ₹95 crore will provide funds to the company, while the larger offer-for-sale component will go to the selling shareholders.
According to available issue details, the fresh issue proceeds are intended partly for capital expenditure and repayment of borrowings.
Investors should therefore distinguish between money raised by the company and money received by existing shareholders through the OFS.
The company has a presence across temperature sensing, electrical heating and specialised cable solutions. It also serves a large customer base across several industrial sectors.
Tempsens Instruments IPO Financial Performance
Tempsens Instruments reported growth in both revenue and profit in financial year 2026. Its revenue increased by 17.53%, while profit after tax rose by 13.61% during the year, according to available IPO research.
The company also has an export business. Overseas markets contributed 28.52% of its revenue in FY2026, giving the business exposure beyond the domestic market.
However, investors also need to consider risks. The company has exposure to industrial sectors that can be affected by capital expenditure cycles, while its business also has working-capital requirements.
Key Risks Investors Should Know
One important factor is customer concentration. The top 10 customers accounted for 18.59% of revenue from operations in FY2026, meaning a portion of the company’s business comes from a relatively limited group of large customers.
The company also operates in competitive markets with both domestic and international players. Demand can vary depending on industrial investment, project activity and broader economic conditions.
The IPO’s grey market premium has also attracted attention, but investors should remember that GMP is unofficial and is not regulated by SEBI. It can change quickly and should not be treated as a guarantee of listing gains.
What Investors Should Check Before Applying
Investors should look beyond the expected listing premium and examine the company’s financial performance, valuation, use of IPO proceeds, customer concentration, export exposure and industry risks.
The Tempsens Instruments IPO offers exposure to industrial temperature sensing, heating solutions and specialised cables, but like every equity investment, it carries market and business risks.
Investors should read the company’s offer documents carefully and assess whether the issue suits their risk profile before applying.
