The wait is finally over. Noida International Airport is set to begin flight operations on June 15, marking a major milestone for air travel in the NCR region.
The first commercial flight to land at the airport will be an IndiGo flight arriving from Lucknow.
After landing, the same aircraft will continue its journey to Bengaluru.
Initially, flights will operate to a limited number of destinations, but the network is expected to expand rapidly in the coming weeks.
IndiGo Opens Ticket Bookings
IndiGo has already released its flight schedule and started ticket bookings for passengers.
According to the airline’s schedule, the first flight will depart from Lucknow at 7:05 AM and arrive at Noida International Airport at 8:05 AM.
The aircraft will then take off for Bengaluru at 8:35 AM.
On the airport’s opening day, a total of eight flights are scheduled to arrive and depart.
From June 16, the number of daily flights will increase to 12.
More Cities to Be Connected from July
Until June 30, flight services will be available to five cities.
However, from July 1, the airport’s connectivity will expand significantly.
Flights to 17 cities are expected to begin from July, with the number of daily arrivals and departures crossing 30.
Airport officials have indicated that around 30 flights may operate regularly, including on Sundays.
According to Noida International Airport Limited CEO RK Singh, the first-ever flight to arrive at the airport will come from Lucknow before continuing onward to Bengaluru.
Akasa Air Joins Operations
Akasa Air will also begin services from the new airport shortly after operations start.
From June 16, the airline will operate daily direct flights connecting Noida with Bengaluru and Navi Mumbai.
Ticket bookings for these routes have already started.
The addition of Akasa Air is expected to give travelers more choices and improve connectivity from the airport.
E-Bus Service and New Authority Office
The launch of the airport will also be accompanied by improvements in local transportation.
The Noida Authority’s new e-bus service is scheduled to begin operations at 10 AM on Friday.
A fleet of 30 electric buses has already arrived in the city.
Authorities are currently finalizing the routes and fares, which are expected to be announced soon.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister is expected to inaugurate the new Noida Authority office after June 15.
While preparations are underway, the official date for the inauguration has not yet been confirmed.
A New Chapter for NCR Air Travel
With flight operations beginning, new airline services being added, and supporting transport infrastructure coming online, Noida International Airport is preparing to become an important aviation hub for the region.
The airport’s phased expansion plan is expected to improve connectivity, reduce pressure on existing airports, and offer travelers more convenient options in the years ahead.
