Google has introduced a new benefit for its AI Pro subscribers. Users who pay for the Google AI Pro plan will now get YouTube Premium Lite membership for free.
With this offer, users can watch most YouTube videos without ads. The move is part of Google’s effort to make its AI Pro subscription more attractive for users who want both AI tools and entertainment benefits in one plan.
Jio Free Trial Users Will Not Get This Benefit
Google has confirmed that this offer is only available for users who are directly paying for the AI Pro subscription.
This means users who received the free 18-month Google AI Pro access through the Reliance Jio partnership will not get YouTube Premium Lite during the free trial period.
The information was shared by Vikas Kansal on X. According to him, Jio users will become eligible for YouTube Premium Lite only if they continue with the paid AI Pro subscription after their free trial ends.
What Is YouTube Premium Lite?
YouTube Premium Lite is a cheaper version of the regular YouTube Premium service.
In India, the plan costs ₹89 per month. It removes ads from most regular YouTube videos, but users will still see ads on:

Search results page
The Lite version also misses several premium features available in the full plan. Users do not get:

Google Also Changes Gemini AI Usage Rules
At the same time, Google has changed how users access Gemini AI features.
Earlier, users had a daily prompt limit. Now, Google is moving to a compute-based system. Under this system, AI usage depends on:

Google informed users through email that Gemini usage limits will now refresh every five hours. However, the weekly usage limit will still continue.
Users Criticize the New Gemini System
Many users on Reddit and social media have reacted negatively to the new Gemini usage model.
Some users said the system has become confusing compared to the earlier setup. One Reddit user claimed that just a few long conversations used almost half of their weekly limit.
Others felt Google should have explained the new rules more clearly before rolling them out.
