However, travelers are facing a major problem even before starting their journey. Air ticket prices from Patna have increased sharply.
According to reports, flight fares on many popular routes have become 1.5 to 2 times more expensive. In some cases, the increase is even higher.
Chennai Flights See the Biggest Price Jump
The highest increase has been seen in flights from Patna to Chennai. Airfares on this route have gone up by almost 2.5 times. At the same time, ticket prices for Pune have increased by around 2.25 times.
Flights to cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Hyderabad have also become much more expensive compared to normal days.
Experts say the main reason behind this rise is the growing number of people travelling during the summer holidays.
Why South India Is Becoming a Popular Choice
Many tourists from Bihar are now showing more interest in visiting South India during vacations. Places like Chennai’s Marina Beach and famous temples near Kanyakumari and Rameshwaram are attracting large numbers of travelers.
Chennai has direct flight connectivity with Patna, making it a convenient option for tourists. It is also the nearest major airport for people planning to visit Kerala’s popular Kovalam Beach.
Tourist spots in Andhra Pradesh are also seeing more visitors. Because of this, flights between Patna and Hyderabad have become costlier.
Meanwhile, Delhi fares are high because many travelers use the capital city as a connecting point to reach hill stations like Nainital, Mussoorie, Shimla, and Dalhousie.
