KTM India has introduced a new and more affordable version of its popular Duke series. The company has launched a 350cc variant of the KTM 390 Duke for the Indian market. The 2026 model is priced at ₹2.77 lakh (ex-showroom).

At the same time, the earlier 399cc version has been renamed the KTM 390 Duke R, which now costs ₹3.39 lakh (ex-showroom). It has also become costlier recently, with a price hike of ₹40,000.

Why KTM Introduced the 350cc Version

The main reason behind this move is the new GST rule. In India, motorcycles with engine capacity above 350cc attract a higher tax of 40%.

By reducing the engine size to 349cc, KTM has made the bike more budget-friendly. The new version is ₹62,000 cheaper than the 399cc model, making it a more attractive option for buyers.

Both versions will continue to be sold together, giving customers more choice based on their budget and performance needs.

Engine and Performance Details

The new 350cc Duke comes with a 349cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It produces 41 bhp power and 33.5 Nm torque.

In comparison, the 399cc engine delivers 45 bhp power and 39 Nm torque. So, on paper, the new version is slightly less powerful.

To achieve this, KTM reduced the engine stroke from 64 mm to 56.1 mm, while keeping the bore size the same at 89 mm. The bike still comes with a 6-speed gearbox and a quickshifter for smooth riding.

Features and Hardware Remain the Same

Despite the smaller engine, most features of the bike remain unchanged.

The new model still gets the same split-trellis frame, adjustable suspension, and braking system. It has a seat height between 800mm and 820mm and weighs 163.8 kg.

It also continues to offer a TFT display with advanced features like ride modes, traction control, launch control, cruise control, and cornering ABS.

Affordable Option with Strong Value

While the new 350cc version may not match the performance of the KTM 390 Duke R, it offers a great balance between price and features.

This strategy can help KTM attract more buyers and boost its sales in India.

Along with this, KTM has also launched the KTM 390 Adventure with a 350cc engine, priced at ₹2.81 lakh (ex-showroom), further expanding its lineup.
