Following the trend set by Spotify and YouTube, OpenAI has introduced a new feature called ‘Your Year with ChatGPT’.
This year-end tool provides a personalized recap of your interactions with ChatGPT over the past year, similar to Spotify’s “Wrapped.”
It offers insights into your usage habits, recurring topics, and highlights of your conversations with the AI.
What Is ‘Your Year with ChatGPT’?
The feature visualizes your activity with ChatGPT in a story-style format, giving you a fun and interactive overview of how you used the platform.
Currently, it is available to users in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with plans to expand globally.
To access it, you need the latest ChatGPT app with chat history and memory enabled.
Once activated, a banner appears on your home screen, guiding you through a chronological recap of your AI interactions.
Key Features of the Year-End Recap
Usage Insights: The feature doesn’t just show numbers—it highlights your patterns, favorite topics, and recurring conversation themes.
Creative Debugger: Ideal for users who use ChatGPT for problem-solving, brainstorming, or math, this tool enhances the year-end experience.
Fun Rewards: You’ll receive playful badges, a short poem, and an AI-generated image inspired by your most discussed topics.
Sharing and Accessibility
OpenAI designed the recap to be shareable on social media, allowing users to post their highlights and showcase their ChatGPT interactions.
However, there are some limitations. Accounts under Education, Enterprise, or Team plans cannot access the feature.
If the banner doesn’t appear, it may mean the feature isn’t available for your account.
Even then, you can still prompt ChatGPT to generate a personalized year recap.
‘Your Year with ChatGPT’ makes reflecting on your AI interactions fun, interactive, and shareable, giving users a glimpse of how ChatGPT has been part of their year.
