Xiaomi has started rolling out its latest HyperOS 3 update, based on Android 16, to several devices in India. The update first arrived on the Xiaomi 15 series
and is now gradually reaching other devices like the Xiaomi 14, Pad 7, Redmi Note 14 5G, Redmi 13, Poco F7, and Poco M7 Pro 5G. HyperOS 3 brings major system improvements, including the new HyperIsland UI
and Dual-Island design for easier multitasking. It also introduces Xiaomi HyperAI features, making devices smoother, safer, and more AI-enabled.
Key Features of HyperOS 3
Android 16-Based OS
The HyperOS 3 upgrade is built on Android 16. It improves power management, enhances performance, and provides a more streamlined user interface.
System features are upgraded, and apps integrate more smoothly with the operating system.
HyperAI Tools
HyperOS 3 includes new AI-powered tools:
Smart Screen Recognition: Suggests actions based on text or images on the screen.
DeepThink Mode: Lets you change the style and tone of text messages and emails.
AI Audio Tools: Helps with faster recognition, transcription, and summarization of recorded audio.
HyperIsland and Dual-Island UI
The update introduces the HyperIsland interface, featuring a pill-shaped area at the top of the screen similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island.
It provides live updates like Live Activities and charging speed. The Dual-Island design makes multitasking easier by allowing multiple apps and tasks to be managed on one screen.
Devices Receiving the Update
Currently, the HyperOS 3 update is available for:
Xiaomi 14
Xiaomi Pad 7
Redmi Note 14 5G
Redmi 13
Poco F7
Poco M7 Pro 5G
Other Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco devices are expected to receive the update in phases according to the official schedule.
How to Check for and Install the Update
Open the Settings app.
Scroll to My Device > HyperOS.
Tap Check for update.
If available, select Download & Install.
Your device may restart after the download to complete the update.
