Xiaomi is wrapping up the year with one last budget smartphone for the Indian market.
The company has confirmed that it will launch the Redmi 15C, a more affordable sibling to the Redmi 15 released earlier in 2025.
This move is interesting, especially as Xiaomi has been focusing on premium devices, but the brand clearly sees continued demand in the low-cost segment.
Launch Date and First Look
Xiaomi’s sub-brand will launch the Redmi 15C 5G in India on December 3, 2025.
Ahead of the launch, the company has started dropping teasers showing a dual rear camera setup and bright colour options, hinting at a youthful design.
More features will be revealed slowly over the coming days.
Expected Features and Specifications
A recent leak has given a fair idea of what the Redmi 15C might offer.
The phone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The device may feature a 6.9-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, though the resolution is expected to stay at HD+.
The phone will likely run on Android 15-based HyperOS 2 and may pack a 6,000mAh battery.
Unlike the Redmi 15, which came with a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery in a slim design, the 15C is not expected to feature the same advanced battery tech due to its budget positioning.
Expected Price in India
Leaks suggest that the Redmi 15C 5G could start at Rs 12,499 for the 4GB + 128GB base model.
Higher variants may be priced at:
Rs 13,999 for 6GB + 128GB
Rs 14,999 for 8GB + 128GB
If these prices hold true, the phone will sit comfortably in the popular budget 5G segment.
