In a timely Diwali gift for state employees and pensioners, both Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh governments have announced a 3% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR).

Uttarakhand Employees and Pensioners to Benefit
In Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami approved the 3% increase in DA for employees and pensioners of the state government, local bodies, and public sector undertakings.
The revised DA will be included in the October salary, credited in November.
The hike is effective from July 1, 2025.

Uttar Pradesh Announces Similar Hike
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared that the state government has increased the DA and DR from 55% to 58%, effective from July 1, 2025.
The announcement is expected to benefit 28 lakh employees and pensioners, boosting their income and providing greater financial security during Diwali.
According to the CM, the decision is intended to enhance the standard of living, bringing satisfaction and prosperity to workers and their families during the festival of lights.
