Nissan Returns with Tekton C-SUV in 2026 –Design Highlights

After a long gap since launching the Magnite in India, Nissan is back with a new C-segment SUV, the Nissan Tekton, set to debut in Q2 2026.

While the X-Trail was previously introduced as a CBU model, it didn’t gain much traction.

The Tekton will sit above the Magnite in Nissan’s lineup, promising a fresh experience of style and power.

Design Highlights

Nissan has revealed the design of the Tekton, though specifications and variants are yet to be announced. Key design features include:

Front: A bold flat hood and a horizontal light bar connecting the headlamps. The bumper has a strong, aggressive look, and the hood bears the “TEKTON” branding, similar to Land Rover SUVs.

The interior is expected to follow a minimalist design, though details remain under wraps.

Expected Powertrains and Competition

The Tekton is likely to offer multiple powertrain options, including:

  • Naturally aspirated petrol

  • Turbo-petrol

  • Hybrid variants

Positioned above the Magnite, it will compete with popular C-SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki models, and the Toyota Victoria.

With its bold styling and versatile powertrain options, the Nissan Tekton aims to strengthen Nissan’s presence in the Indian SUV market and offer a premium alternative in the C-segment.
