Pensioners Alert! Govt to Launch Digital Life Certificate Camps from Nov 1

The central government has announced a big relief for senior citizens and disabled pensioners.

The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) will start the nationwide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0 from November 1 to November 30, 2025.

The campaign will be held in nearly 1,600 district and subdivision head offices across the country.

Earlier, pensioners had to physically visit a bank or pension office every year to submit their life certificate, which was often difficult for the elderly and disabled.

Now, thanks to face authentication technology, they can submit their life certificate from home using just their mobile phone.

Special Facility for 80+ Pensioners

The government has made additional arrangements for super senior citizens (80 years and above).

They will be allowed to submit their Digital Life Certificate starting from October 2025 itself, so that their pensions are not delayed. Banks have also been directed to provide this facility from October onwards.

Who Will Assist Pensioners?

To ensure the campaign’s success, the government will be supported by pension disbursing banks and the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB).

Special camps and doorstep services will be arranged for elderly and disabled pensioners.

How to Submit a Digital Life Certificate Online?

Now pensioners don’t need to visit a bank. They can submit their DLC through face authentication. Here’s the step-by-step process:

1. Download Aadhaar Face RD App from Google Play Store (this app runs in the background and is mandatory).

2. Download Jeevan Pramaan App from Google Play Store.

3. Open the app and fill in details on the operator authentication screen – Aadhaar number, mobile number, and email.

4. Enter the OTP received on your mobile.

5. The app will ask permission for face scan – click Yes.

6. Follow the instructions on screen and scan your face with the camera.

7. Operator Authentication is needed only once. Pensioners themselves can act as operators, and one operator can generate DLCs for multiple people.

8. For Pensioner Authentication, enter Aadhaar, mobile number, and OTP again.

9. Fill in details like:

   • Name (as per Aadhaar)

   • Type of pension

   • PPO Number

   • Account Number

   • Pension issuing agency, etc.

10. Confirm and proceed.

11. Complete the face scan. Once done, the screen will show a message confirming submission of DLC along with Pramaan ID and PPO Number.

12. Pensioners can also download the certificate anytime from the official Jeevan Pramaan website using their Pramaan ID.
