The central government has introduced another big relief for senior citizens and disabled pensioners.
The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) has launched the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 4.0, which will run from November 1 to November 30, 2025.
This campaign will be held at around 1,600 district and subdivision head offices across the country.
Earlier, pensioners had to personally visit banks or pension offices every year to submit their life certificates. This was a tough process for the elderly and people with disabilities.
Now, with the help of face authentication technology, they can easily submit their life certificates from home using a mobile phone.
Special Facilities for Super Senior Citizens
The government has made special arrangements for pensioners above 80 years of age.
These super senior citizens will be allowed to submit their Digital Life Certificates from October 2025 itself, one month earlier than others.
Banks have also been directed to provide this facility from October, so that elderly pensioners face no delays or interruptions in receiving their pension.
Support and Doorstep Services
To ensure the campaign is successful, the government will receive support from pension disbursing banks and the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB).
Camps will be organized, and special doorstep services will also be available for senior and disabled pensioners who may find it difficult to travel.
Step-by-Step Guide to Submit Digital Life Certificate
Pensioners no longer need to visit the bank branch. Here’s how they can submit their DLC using face authentication:
Step 1
Go to the Google Play Store and download the Aadhaar Face RD Application.
Step 2
Install this app (it runs in the background and is mandatory).
Step 3
Download the Jeevan Pramaan app from the Play Store.
Step 4
Open the Jeevan Pramaan app. On the operator authentication screen, enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number, and email address.
Step 5
Enter the OTP received on your mobile and submit.
Step 6
Allow the app to access your name and face scan by clicking “Yes.”
Step 7
Follow the on-screen instructions and let the camera scan your face.
Step 8
Operator authentication is needed only once. Pensioners themselves can also act as operators. One operator can create DLCs for multiple pensioners.
Step 9
Now comes pensioner authentication. Enter your Aadhaar, mobile number, and OTP.
Step 10
Fill in the required details:
Name (as per Aadhaar)
Type of pension
PPO Number
Account Number
Pension issuing agency and other details
Submit the form after confirmation.
Step 11
The app will complete a face scan. After successful submission, a message will appear with your Pramaan ID and PPO number.
Pensioners can also download the certificate by visiting the official Jeevan Pramaan website and entering their Pramaan ID.
