Samsung has officially begun releasing its new One UI 8 update, which is based on Android 16, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. The update is 3.8 GB in size and was first launched in South Korea.

This large list of supported devices shows Samsung’s strong focus on long-term software support.

Smarter Features Powered by AI

One UI 8 takes a big step forward with AI-based features. With help from Google Gemini, it brings smart, context-aware tools that predict what you need and help reduce switching between apps.

Some key features include Generative Edits for photos, Chat Assist, and a new Now Bar/Now Brief.

These AI tools are designed to work smoothly in everyday use, not just on the latest phones, but also on older models.

Better Multitasking with Updated Split Screen

The update also improves multitasking with a new Split Screen mode. Unlike the usual 50:50 split, this version gives users more layout options, making it easier to use two apps at once.

This is useful for both everyday users and professionals who rely on their phones for productivity.

Update Tips and How to Install

When the update is ready for your phone, you’ll get a notification. You can also check manually by going to:

Settings > Software Update > Download and Install

Because the update is large, Samsung advises users to back up their data before installing, just in case anything goes wrong.

Final Thoughts

The One UI 8 update is more than just a visual refresh — it brings a strong AI focus to Samsung’s phones and tablets.

With better multitasking, improved stability, and advanced AI tools, Samsung is aiming to stay ahead in the Android world, while making sure users across both high-end and mid-range devices benefit from these upgrades.
