OnePlus has started rolling out the OxygenOS 15 stable update for the OnePlus Pad 2 tablet, following its release for the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R smartphones.
This update is being rolled out globally, with availability in North America expected later this week.
OnePlus has confirmed that AI features will be added to their products by the end of November.
New Features in the OxygenOS 15 Update
The update brings several new features and improvements, including:
Ultra Animation Effects: This update introduces smoother scrolling with system-level swiping curves for third-party apps, including WebView interfaces.
Luminous Rendering Effects: Home screen icons have been redesigned with natural proportions
and improved colors for better visuals. Several system function icons have also been updated for visual stability.
Flux Theme: Customization options for Always-On Display, lock screen, and home screen are now available.
The Always-On Display supports Flux and Classic modes, while the lock screen clock allows for color blending, glass texture, blur wallpaper,
and more. The home screen also supports glass patterns and blurred wallpaper.
Additional Features and Improvements
Live Alerts: A new design for Live Alerts improves information display. Alerts are placed centrally for a balanced view,
and users can expand capsules into cards for easy navigation. Swiping left or right on the capsule makes it easier to switch between live activities.
Photo Editing: The update introduces a reversible photo editing feature that remembers previous settings for future edits.
Filters applied during photography can also be edited, changed, or removed later.
Floating Window and Split View: New gestures for floating windows have been added, such as dragging the notification banner to open a floating window or swiping up to close it.
Split mode for the notification drawer and quick settings provides a more streamlined user experience.
Battery and Charging: A new “Charging Limit” feature helps extend battery life by stopping the charge at 80%.
A battery protection reminder will alert you to turn on this feature when the device is connected to a charger for too long.
Privacy Protection: The update improves Private Safe with categorized browsing for photos, videos, and documents.
A new home screen entry for hidden apps allows users to tap and verify their privacy password to view these apps.
