This feature displays a green ‘draft’ label on incomplete messages in the main chat list, allowing users to quickly locate unfinished texts.
The unsent message appears at the top of the chat list, making it convenient to resume the conversation.
How does the ‘Message Draft’ feature work?
The new draft indicator automatically appears on incomplete messages, helping users save time.
WhatsApp mentioned that this feature is being rolled out gradually. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduced the feature, calling it essential for enhancing the WhatsApp experience.
Users can now easily find the contact with whom they last chatted, instead of scrolling down as they did before.

The Supreme Court addressed a public interest litigation (PIL) on Thursday (November 14), which raised concerns about the privacy, integrity, and security of WhatsApp.
The petition had called for a ban on the messaging platform by the central government.
The petition claimed that WhatsApp fails to comply with India’s IT rules. However, a bench of Justices MM Sundaresh and Arvind Kumar dismissed the petition, stating they were not inclined to consider it.
