Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2026 Brezza in India with a starting ex-showroom price of ₹7.40 lakh.

The updated compact SUV gets several important upgrades, including a new turbo-petrol engine, a new gearbox, more features, and a refreshed design.

The new Brezza will continue to compete with popular compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Venue, Skoda Kylaq, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet, and Citroen C3.

New Turbo Engine and Updated Gearbox

The biggest highlight of the 2026 Brezza is its new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. It produces 110 hp and 170 Nm of torque, offering better performance than before.

Maruti has also retained the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which delivers 103 hp and 139 Nm of torque. This engine will continue to be available with a CNG option.

The CNG version now comes with an underbody-mounted CNG tank, which helps free up more boot space.

Both engines are paired with a new 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. Buyers of the 1.5-litre petrol version also get the option of a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Fresh Exterior with Sportier Styling

The 2026 Brezza gets a refreshed front design with a new grille and a dark chrome panel connecting the headlamps. The bumper has also been redesigned with dark chrome accents and a new faux skid plate.

The LED headlamps with L-shaped DRLs remain unchanged, but the fog lamps have been moved slightly higher into new triangular housings.

On the sides, the SUV gets new dual-tone body cladding and redesigned 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear design remains mostly unchanged with the same tail-lamps and bumper.

Turbo-petrol variants also receive exclusive styling elements, including:

Turbo badge on the tailgate

Red accents on the grille, skid plates and wheel arches

“Turbo Boosterjet” sticker on the rear quarter glass

Maruti has also introduced two new colour options – Vivacious Orange and Lustrous Beige. Both are available with an optional dual-tone black roof.

The earlier silver trim has been replaced with a gloss black finish, while the dual-tone leatherette seats get new upholstery. The SUV also borrows new HVAC controls from the Maruti Fronx.

More Features and Better Safety

The 2026 Brezza now comes with a larger 10.1-inch SmartPlay Pro X touchscreen infotainment system featuring built-in navigation and Alexa support.

Other new features include 64-colour ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, air purifier, and active cooling for the wireless phone charger.

On the safety front, Maruti has added several new features, including:

The Brezza has also received a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, making it one of the safest compact SUVs in its segment.
