Hyundai Unveils New Sub-Compact EV with 355 km Range

Hyundai has globally launched its new micro sub-compact electric vehicle (EV), the Hyundai Inster, at the Busan International Motor Show 2024.

While international unveiling has occurred, details about its Indian launch remain undisclosed.

Impressive Range and Charging Capability

The Hyundai Inster, branded as the Urban EV, boasts a range of 355 km on a single charge.

It features LED DRLs, a distinctive light signature, and a pixel graphic design. Charging from 10% to 80% takes just 30 minutes.

Name and Design Inspiration

The name ‘Inster’ derives from a combination of ‘Intimate’ and ‘Innovative,’ reflecting its design philosophy.

Built on the existing Casper platform, it inherits stylish elements like round headlights from its ICE counterpart.

Feature-Packed Interior and Technology

Equipped with dual-tone exterior options, 15-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and infotainment system,

the Hyundai Inster also offers wireless charging, 50-50 split seats, USB charging points, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and cruise control.

Battery and Motor Specifications

Buyers can choose between 42 kWh and 49 kWh battery packs.

The Inster features a single motor producing up to 115 PS and 147 Nm torque, delivering efficient performance alongside its impressive range.
