The wait is finally over for millions of farmers in the country. The central government has announced the date for the 18th installment of the PM Kisan scheme.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme provides vital financial support to small and marginal farmers, offering eligible farmers Rs 6,000 each year.
The goal of this scheme is to assist farmers financially. As per the official PM Kisan website, the 18th installment will be credited to farmers’ accounts on October 5.
Who can avail the Benefit?
This scheme is designed for small and marginal farmers. Farmers who own up to 2 hectares of land are eligible.
Each eligible farmer receives Rs 6,000 annually, which is paid directly into their bank accounts in three installments of Rs 2,000 each. The most recent installment was paid on June 18, 2024.
How to Check the Beneficiary List
Farmers can verify their eligibility for the scheme by following these steps:
1. Visit the official PM-Kisan website at pmkisan.gov.in.
2. Navigate to the Beneficiary List section.
3. Select your State, District, Sub-District, Block, and Village.
4. Click on ‘Get Report’ to see if your name is listed.
Additionally, the beneficiary list is available at local panchayats to ensure transparency.
Completing e-KYC
Farmers must complete e-KYC to receive future benefits, and this requirement applies to all registered farmers. There are three ways to complete the e-KYC process:
OTP-based e-KYC
Farmers can complete their e-KYC using an OTP (One-Time Password). This process is available on the PM-Kisan portal or the mobile app.
Biometric e-KYC
Farmers can complete their e-KYC using biometric methods by visiting Common Service Centres (CSCs) or State Service Centres (SSKs).
Face Authentication
Another option for completing e-KYC is face authentication, which can be done using the PM-Kisan mobile app.
Importance of e-KYC
Completing e-KYC is crucial for farmers. If they fail to do it, they might encounter issues in receiving future payments.
By completing e-KYC, farmers can ensure that the financial assistance from the scheme continues without interruption.
It’s important to highlight that the PM-KISAN scheme is a crucial support for farmers in India.
By verifying their eligibility and completing e-KYC, farmers can ensure they keep receiving essential financial aid. Remember to complete your e-KYC before the installment is released!
