BSNL has rolled out two new Bharat Fiber broadband plans, catering to the growing demands of high-speed internet users.
Priced at Rs 599 and Rs 699, these plans not only offer generous data allowances of up to 4TB but also include complimentary subscriptions to popular OTT platforms.
Available for both new and existing users, these plans aim to enhance the broadband experience for consumers across select states in India.
Plan Details:
The ‘Fiber Basic OTT 599’ plan priced at Rs 599 provides users with a bandwidth of 75Mbps and a whopping 4,000GB (4TB) data allowance.
Upon exhausting the data limit, users can continue browsing and downloading at a reduced speed of 4Mbps for the remainder of the billing cycle.
Additionally, the plan includes free local and national calling along with complimentary access to Disney+ Hotstar Super Plan.
Comparison with Existing Plans:
While BSNL already offers a Rs 599 Basic Plus plan with similar pricing, boasting a higher speed of 100Mbps, the new plan distinguishes itself with the inclusion of an OTT subscription.
Both plans offer comparable benefits except for the speed differential.
Variants of the Rs 699 Plan:
The Rs 699 plan, dubbed ‘Fiber Basic Plus OTT 699’, provides users with a faster speed of 100Mbps and the same generous 4TB data allowance.
Users can enjoy unlimited calling along with the option to choose between two variants of the plan.
One variant offers subscriptions to Disney+Hotstar, Hungama, Shemaroo, Lionsgate, and Epicon, while the other variant, named ‘Fiber Basic Plus OTT PK2 699’, includes a YuppTV pack (Zee5 Premium, SonyLiv Premium, YuppTV) subscription instead.
Existing Plan Comparison:
BSNL also offers a Fiber Basic Super 699 plan priced at Rs 699, focusing solely on high-speed internet access without OTT benefits. This plan boasts a speed of 125Mbps and maintains a reduced speed of 8Mbps post-data consumption.
Availability Note:
While all plans are listed on BSNL’s website, their availability varies across states, with some states not offering these plans currently.
With these new offerings, BSNL aims to cater to diverse consumer preferences and elevate the broadband experience with enhanced speed, generous data allowances, and value-added OTT subscriptions.
