Bajaj Auto has reportedly discontinued the Pulsar N125 in the Indian market. According to a report by BikeAdvice, the motorcycle is still visible on the company’s official website, but dealer dispatches have been stopped completely.

Interestingly, Bajaj has not ended production of the bike altogether. The company continues to manufacture the Pulsar N125 for export markets, including Nepal, Peru, Colombia, and Morocco.

Launched in 2024 but Failed to Impress Indian Buyers

The Bajaj Pulsar N125 was launched in India in October 2024 as a sporty 125cc motorcycle. However, due to weak sales performance, the company has decided to discontinue the model in less than two years.

Reports suggest that Bajaj is now working on an all-new version of the Pulsar N125, which could return with a fresh design and several new features.

Technically Strong, But Design Didn’t Connect With Buyers

At the time of launch, the Pulsar N125 was considered one of the most advanced bikes in its segment. It was built on a completely new platform that was not shared with any other Pulsar model.

The bike also came with a new engine and weighed around 125 kg, making it one of the lightest motorcycles in the Pulsar lineup.

Despite its strong engineering, the bike’s design failed to attract many Indian buyers.

Unlike the muscular styling seen on other Pulsar models, the N125 had a slimmer and more modern appearance, which did not appeal to many customers.

Missing Features Hurt Sales

Another major reason behind the poor sales was the lack of premium features. In today’s 125cc performance bike segment, buyers expect features such as a TFT instrument cluster and ABS.

Competitors like the Hero Xtreme 125R and Honda CB125 Hornet offered stronger road presence and better feature packages, helping them perform better in the market.

New Pulsar N125 Could Launch in 2027

Bajaj is now reportedly preparing a completely redesigned Pulsar N125. According to reports, the new-generation model could be launched between January and March 2027.

Spy shots suggest that the upcoming bike will be larger, more premium, and sport a sharper design.

The biggest changes are expected at the front, where the motorcycle may get a new fascia, a larger headlamp cowl, and redesigned body panels for a more aggressive look.

What Features Can Buyers Expect?

The upcoming Pulsar N125 is expected to receive several upgrades, including:

Split seat setup

New rear grab rail

Fully covered chain cover

More comfortable upright riding position

Telescopic front suspension

Rear monoshock suspension

Alloy wheels

Front disc brake

Rear drum brake

If reports are accurate, Bajaj could bring back the Pulsar N125 with a stronger road presence and modern features, addressing the shortcomings that affected the current model’s sales in India.
