Aprilia India has launched the new Tuono 457 Special Edition on June 22, 2026, at a price of ₹3.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The motorcycle costs just ₹2,000 more than the standard version, making it one of the most affordable special editions in the mid-range performance bike segment.
Unlike performance-focused upgrades, this edition is designed to improve everyday comfort and ride usability, especially for Indian road conditions.
What’s New in the Special Edition?
The biggest changes in the Tuono 457 Special Edition focus on rider comfort and practicality rather than engine performance.
One of the key updates is taller handlebars, which create a more upright and relaxed riding posture.
This makes long rides and city commuting less tiring.
Aprilia has also added adjustable brake and clutch levers, allowing riders to fine-tune lever reach for better control and comfort.
The seat has been upgraded with high-resilience foam, which helps reduce vibrations from rough roads and improves overall riding comfort.
At the front, the bike now gets a smoked flyscreen, giving it a slightly more premium and sporty look.
The suspension setup has also been retuned.
A softer initial stroke helps the bike absorb potholes and uneven roads more effectively, making it better suited for typical Indian riding conditions.
Engine and Features Stay Unchanged
Mechanically, the Special Edition remains identical to the standard Tuono 457.
It continues to use the 457cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, producing 47.6 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque.
The power delivery and performance figures remain the same.
The bike also retains:
6-speed gearbox
5-inch TFT display
Traction control system
The bidirectional quickshifter is still available as an optional accessory.
In simple terms, the Special Edition does not change performance—it focuses entirely on making the ride more comfortable and practical.
New Colours and Extended Warranty
Aprilia has introduced two new colour options for the Special Edition:
Mamba Black
Puma Grey
Both shades feature graphics inspired by the iconic 2006 Tuono 1000R, adding a touch of heritage styling.
The motorcycle also comes with a 4-year / 48,000 km warranty, offering added peace of mind to buyers.
Pre-bookings have already started at select Aprilia dealerships across India.
Should You Buy the Special Edition?
For an additional ₹2,000 over the standard model, the Special Edition offers noticeable upgrades in comfort and usability.
You get a more relaxed riding position, improved suspension tuning for Indian roads, adjustable levers, and a longer warranty—all without any change in performance.
For riders who plan to use the bike for daily commuting as well as weekend rides, the Special Edition offers better overall value and is likely the more practical choice.
