India’s second-largest telecom company, Bharti Airtel, has increased the prices of its popular 84-day prepaid plans. This change has come quietly but will impact millions of users across the country.

The company has raised the price of its ₹859 plan by ₹40, making it ₹899 now. Along with this, Airtel has also discontinued its affordable ₹799 plan.

Earlier, users had two options for 84 days, but now only the ₹899 plan is available, making recharges more expensive.

What You Get in the New ₹899 Plan

The new ₹899 prepaid plan comes with a validity of 84 days. It offers unlimited calling, including local, STD, and roaming calls.

Users also get 1.5GB data per day and 100 SMS daily. Apart from this, Airtel provides extra benefits like spam call alerts, free HelloTunes, and access to Adobe Express Premium.

However, there are no major new features compared to the older plans. This means users are paying more without getting significant additional benefits.

What Made the ₹799 Plan Popular

The ₹799 plan, which has now been discontinued, was a favorite among users. It also offered 84 days validity with unlimited calling.

In terms of data, users received 1.5GB per day along with 100 SMS daily. The benefits were almost the same as the current ₹899 plan.

The only big difference now is the price. Users are paying nearly ₹100 extra for similar services, which may not go well with many customers.

Airtel ₹929 Plan: A Longer Validity Option

Airtel also offers a ₹929 prepaid plan for users looking for slightly longer validity. This plan comes with 90 days of service.

It includes unlimited calling, 1.5GB data per day, and 100 SMS daily. Users also get additional benefits like Perplexity AI Pro subscription, free HelloTunes, and spam alerts.

This plan may be a better choice for those who want a few extra days of validity along with added perks.
