Tata Motors is making significant strides in the electric vehicle (EV) market, unveiling an ambitious plan to launch three new electric cars.
Building on its success with models like Nexon EV, Tiago EV, Tigor EV, and the recent launch of the electric version of Punch, Tata Motors is gearing up for further expansion.
Here are the upcoming electric models from Tata Motors:
1. Curve.EV:
Expected to be introduced after the internal combustion engine (ICE) version, possibly in mid-2024.
Features: Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), 12.3-inch infotainment system, 10.25-inch driver display, new steering wheel, 360-degree camera, and ventilated seats. Platform: Likely based on the Acti.EV platform.
2. Harrier.EV and Safari.EV:
Currently in the testing phase, spotted on roads in prototype form.
Expected to come with EV-specific elements inside and out compared to their facelifted internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts.
Platform: Expected to be based on the Acti.EV (Gen 2) platform.
Range: Expected to have a range of more than 500 km.
Battery Pack: Expected to be in the range of 50 kWh to 60 kWh.
Drivetrain: Front-wheel-drive (FWD) setup in the standard configuration, with a possibility of a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.
