MG Motor, a key player in the Indian automobile market, has announced a price increase for its Hector and Hector Plus SUVs. This marks the third price adjustment within a year for these popular models.
Available in both six and seven-seat configurations, the Hector and Hector Plus compete with leading SUVs like Hyundai’s Creta, Kia’s Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara.
Competing in Style: MG Hector Plus Faces Third Price Hike
In a move that echoes the dynamics of the competitive SUV market, MG Motor has elevated the prices of its Hector and Hector Plus by Rs 40,000.
The company had previously adjusted prices in August, making this the third such increase in a year.
The Hector Plus, with its refreshed front design showcased at this year’s Auto Expo, now starts at Rs 20.73 lakh for the six-seat variant (ex-showroom).
Tech-Infused Upgrade: MG Hector’s Features Remain Unchanged
While the company introduced a new front design for the Hector and Hector Plus at Auto Expo, no changes were made to the engine.
The models continue to offer three engine options: 1.5-liter petrol, 1.5-liter petrol hybrid, and 2.0-liter diesel.
With both manual and automatic gearbox options, the vehicles feature a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system and ADAS Level 2 technology.

Not just the Hector, MG Motor’s ZS EV is making strides in the electric vehicle (EV) market.
The company recently secured a significant order for 500 units from the EV ride-sharing platform, BluSmart Mobility.
Priced at Rs 23,38,000 (Excite variant) and Rs 27,29,800 (Exclusive variant), the ZS EV offers a range of charging options, including DC super fast chargers, AC fast chargers, and portable chargers.

Boasting a battery pack of 50.3 kWh capacity and a permanent magnetic synchronous motor, the ZS EV accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 8.5 seconds.
