BMW launches X5 SUV with Enhanced Features in India

BMW has recently unveiled the refreshed version of its popular luxury SUV, the X5, in India.

The SUV comes in both petrol and diesel engine variants, offering a powerful and versatile driving experience.

Additionally, the xDrive all-wheel drive system comes as a standard feature.

The ex-showroom price for the BMW X5 starts at Rs 93.90 lakh, while the top-tier variant is priced at Rs 1.06 crore.

The vehicle has been manufactured at the BMW plant in Chennai and will be available in two trims: xLine and M Sport.

Advanced Driver Assist System and Safety Features

The latest BMW X5 comes equipped with an advanced driver assist system, boasting a range of cutting-edge features designed to enhance safety and convenience.

These features include adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera for parking assistance, reverse assist, remote parking via smartphone, and drive recording.

Furthermore, the SUV offers comprehensive safety measures such as six airbags, dynamic stability control, and other notable safety enhancements.

Luxurious Interior with State-of-the-Art Technology

The interior of the facelifted BMW X5 showcases a revamped design, featuring the new BMW Widescreen Curved Display twin-screen panel.

It comprises a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, running on BMW’s iDrive 8 operating system.

The SUV also offers a personal assistant, wireless smartphone integration, and supports over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Notable interior features include a Harman Kardon music system, a head-up display (available in the M Sport trim),

ambient lighting, and sport seats with heating and ventilation functions. In addition, the drive selector has been replaced with a sleek glass toggle switch.

Powerful Engine Performance

Under the hood, the BMW X5 facelift is equipped with a set of twin-turbocharged, 3.0-liter straight-six engines.

The petrol engine generates an impressive 375 horsepower and 520 Nm of peak torque, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds.

On the other hand, the diesel engine produces 282 horsepower and 650 Nm of peak torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.1 seconds.

Both engines are complemented by a 48V electric motor, contributing an additional 10 horsepower and 200 Nm of peak torque.

An 8-speed automatic transmission handles the power delivery efficiently.
