Air India Saudi Flights Suspended until November 14, 2026, as Air India and Air India Express have extended the temporary cancellation of services connecting India with three major Saudi Arabian cities.

The decision affects flights to and from Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam amid the prevailing security situation in the region.

The latest announcement means passengers who were planning to travel between India and Saudi Arabia will have to check alternative arrangements.

The airlines have also announced complimentary rescheduling and full refund options for eligible passengers holding confirmed bookings.

The suspension applies to both airlines and covers November 14, inclusive.

Air India Saudi Flights Suspended: Which Routes Are Affected?

Air India and Air India Express have extended the suspension of flights connecting Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam until November 14, 2026.

Earlier, the airlines had announced separate suspension deadlines for these destinations.

Flights connecting Riyadh and Dammam were scheduled to remain suspended until November 7, while Jeddah services were affected until October 31.

The latest decision extends the restrictions to all three destinations under a common deadline.

The airlines have cited the prevailing situation in the region for the decision.

The development comes amid continuing security concerns and disruptions affecting aviation infrastructure in parts of West Asia.

Passengers travelling for work, family visits or religious purposes, including Umrah pilgrims, may need to revise their travel plans.

Free Flight Rescheduling and Full Refund Options

To reduce inconvenience for affected travellers, Air India and Air India Express have announced a one-time complimentary rebooking facility.

Passengers holding confirmed bookings issued on or before October 30, 2026, for journeys scheduled up to November 14 can use the facility to reschedule their travel.

The revised journey must be completed by November 29, 2026, subject to seat availability.

Passengers who do not wish to travel can instead cancel their bookings and request a full refund.

There are some differences in the alternative travel arrangements offered by the two airlines.

Air India passengers can rebook to or from any operational Air India station in Saudi Arabia.

Air India Express passengers can choose an operational Air India Express station in Saudi Arabia or Bahrain.

The complimentary rebooking facility is available only once and remains subject to the availability of seats on alternative flights.

What Should Passengers Do After the Flight Cancellation?

Passengers holding tickets for travel to or from Jeddah, Riyadh or Dammam during the affected period should check their booking status before heading to the airport.

Those eligible for complimentary rescheduling should contact the respective airline’s customer service team or visit its city booking office.

Travellers seeking refunds should also follow the cancellation process communicated by the airline.

Passengers who have booked their journeys through travel agents should coordinate with them regarding alternative flights and refund procedures.

It is also advisable to check connecting flights, hotel bookings and other travel arrangements before selecting a revised journey date.

Other Airlines Have Also Changed Saudi Flight Schedules

Air India and Air India Express are not the only Indian carriers affected by the regional situation.

IndiGo has also extended cancellations on flights connecting Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah until November 14.

Akasa Air has announced separate suspension deadlines for its Saudi Arabia services, including Riyadh and Jeddah.

These different timelines mean passengers should not assume that all airlines are operating under identical schedules.

For travellers planning an India-Saudi Arabia journey, checking the latest airline advisory is important before making any further arrangements.

The airlines have not announced a confirmed resumption date beyond the current suspension period. Passengers should therefore monitor official updates for information about the restoration of services.
