Air India Delhi-Osaka Flights will begin on February 2, 2027, giving travellers a direct connection between India’s capital and Osaka in Japan.
The airline will operate four non-stop flights a week in each direction using Boeing 787-8 aircraft, offering a new option for tourists, business travellers and people visiting family.
The new route will connect Delhi with Kansai International Airport in Osaka. It will also expand Air India’s Japan network beyond Tokyo, where the airline already operates services from Delhi and Mumbai.
For Indian travellers planning a trip to Japan, the non-stop service will remove the need for a connecting flight on this route.
Passengers will also have greater flexibility when planning multi-city journeys that include Osaka and Tokyo.
Air India Delhi-Osaka Flights Schedule and Timings
The new service will start on February 2, 2027, with flight AI360 operating from Delhi to Osaka on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
It will depart Delhi at 10:50 pm and arrive in Osaka at 9:50 am the following day, according to the published schedule.
The return service, AI359, will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. It will depart Osaka at 11:50 am and arrive in Delhi at 6:20 pm on the same day. All timings are local.
The four-weekly schedule in each direction gives passengers several options for planning their departure and return dates.
Travellers should check the airline’s booking channels for flight availability and any schedule changes before finalising their itineraries.
What Will Passengers Get on the New Route?
Air India’s Boeing 787-8 aircraft assigned to the route will feature 18 Business Class seats with full-flat beds and 241 Economy Class seats.
The aircraft configuration provides options for passengers travelling for leisure or business.
The service will also support open-jaw itineraries, allowing travellers to fly into Osaka and return to India from Tokyo, or travel in the opposite direction.
This can help visitors plan trips covering multiple Japanese cities without returning to their original arrival airport.
Why Is Air India Expanding Flights to Japan?
Japan has become an increasingly popular destination for Indian travellers.
More than 315,000 Indians visited Japan in 2025, representing a 35% increase over 2024 and nearly 80% growth compared with pre-pandemic levels, according to the Japan National Tourism Organization.
Tourism, cultural experiences, business travel and closer economic ties have contributed to growing interest in Japan. Osaka is known as a gateway to the wider Kansai region, including Kyoto and other popular destinations.
The new route will strengthen direct connectivity between India and Japan while expanding Air India’s international network.
Passengers can check the airline’s official booking channels for ticket availability, fares and the latest travel information.
