BHAVYA Industrial Park Deadline has been extended by one month, giving states and Union Territories more time to submit applications under the second round of Phase-I of the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana.

The new deadline is October 31, 2026, instead of September 30.

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade took the decision following a meeting of the National Level Steering Committee held on September 14.

The extension was communicated through an office memorandum dated September 28.

 BHAVYA Industrial Park Deadline Extended

The Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana, known as BHAVYA, is a ₹33,660-crore scheme aimed at developing 100 investment-ready, plug-and-play industrial parks across India over six years.

The scheme was approved by the Union Cabinet in March 2026.

Under the first phase, up to 50 industrial parks will be selected through a challenge-based competitive process.

The first round invited proposals for 20 parks, while the second round is seeking proposals for another 30 parks.

More Time for States and UTs to Apply

The extension gives state and Union Territory governments an additional month to prepare and submit their proposals.

Both greenfield projects and eligible brownfield industrial parks can be considered under the scheme.

The National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation is serving as the project management agency, while the scheme is being implemented with state governments and private-sector participation.

The government has designed BHAVYA around the development of plug-and-play industrial infrastructure, with the broader objective of creating industrial locations where businesses can begin operations after the required infrastructure is made available.

First Round Received 87 Proposals

The first round of Phase-I closed on July 31 and received 87 proposals from states and Union Territories, according to government data cited in the report.

Maharashtra submitted 14 proposals, followed by Madhya Pradesh with 11.

Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh each submitted seven proposals in the first round.

The second round will now remain open until October 31, giving applicants additional time to submit proposals for the remaining parks.

The BHAVYA Industrial Park Deadline extension is part of the government’s ongoing process to select projects under the first phase of the scheme, which ultimately targets the development of 50 industrial parks before the larger six-year programme reaches its target of 100 parks.
