LPG e-KYC deadline today, September 30, applies to domestic LPG consumers using Indane, Bharatgas and HP Gas.
From October 1, 2026, biometric Aadhaar authentication will be mandatory for booking domestic LPG refills at the regulated retail selling price with applicable subsidy.
The requirement is linked to the government’s effort to ensure that LPG subsidies reach eligible consumers and to improve transparency in domestic LPG distribution.
As of September 19, 27.43 crore active domestic LPG consumers had already completed biometric Aadhaar authentication.
LPG e-KYC deadline today for consumers
Consumers who have not completed biometric authentication can still complete the process through several options.
It can be done during cylinder delivery, at the LPG distributor’s showroom or through the mobile application of the relevant oil marketing company.
Indane customers can use the IndianOil ONE app, Bharatgas customers can use the HelloBPCL app and HP Gas customers can use the HP PAY app.
Aadhaar-based face authentication can also be completed through the required Aadhaar FaceRD application.
At the time of delivery, the delivery person can complete the authentication using the company’s mobile application or device.
Consumers can alternatively visit their distributor and complete the biometric process there.
What happens if LPG e-KYC is not completed
Not completing the process does not mean that the LPG connection will automatically be permanently cancelled.
The key change from October 1 concerns access to the regulated retail selling price with applicable subsidy.
Consumers who have not completed biometric Aadhaar authentication may need to complete it before receiving the regulated subsidised benefit.
The government has said consumers can complete authentication through delivery, distributors or OMC mobile applications.
The September 30 deadline has been extended several times previously.
According to the report, earlier deadlines included June 30, September 7 and September 14 before September 30 was set as the latest deadline.
How to complete e-KYC from home
Indane consumers can register on IndianOil ONE using their registered mobile number, link their LPG ID and access the re-KYC option under their profile.
After providing consent, they can use face authentication to complete the Aadhaar verification.
Bharatgas customers can use HelloBPCL, register with their details and select the e-KYC option.
HP Gas customers can use HP PAY, access the LPG section and select e-KYC before completing face authentication through Aadhaar FaceRD.
Consumers who have already completed biometric Aadhaar authentication do not need to repeat the process.
For those still pending, completing the LPG e-KYC deadline requirement can help ensure continued access to the applicable regulated LPG pricing and subsidy benefits from October 1.
