Redmi Note 17 Pro Series launched in India

Redmi Note 17 Pro series has been launched in India with two models, the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.

The new smartphones focus heavily on battery life, with the Pro offering a 9,000mAh battery and the Pro Max featuring a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Series Price and Sale Date

The Redmi Note 17 Pro starts at ₹36,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model is priced at ₹39,999.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max starts at ₹49,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Its 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs ₹55,999.

Customers can get an instant discount of up to ₹5,000 on SBI, Axis Bank and IDFC First Bank cards. There is also an option to get up to ₹5,000 cashback through HDB Financial Services.

The first sale of the Redmi Note 17 Pro will begin on September 17, while the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will go on sale from September 23.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Series Display and Battery

The Redmi Note 17 Pro series comes with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. Both phones support a 120Hz refresh rate, 12-bit colour depth, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and offers up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro gets a 9,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The Pro Max has a larger 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery and supports 100W wired fast charging.

The Pro Max also supports 27W reverse wired charging. Redmi claims that the phone can provide more than four days of battery life with light usage.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Series Camera and Performance

The two smartphones come with different processors. The Redmi Note 17 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, while the Pro Max uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.

For photography, both phones feature a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The Pro Max’s 50MP main camera comes with OIS and AI features.

Both models have a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The camera setup is aimed at covering everyday photography and video calling needs.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Series Other Features

Both smartphones come with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, offering protection against dust and water. They run Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

Xiaomi has promised four years of OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the Redmi Note 17 Pro series. This gives buyers a longer software support period.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro is available in Pink, while the Pro Max comes in Secret Sunshine. The Pro Max also gets a colour-changing effect on its rear panel.

Both smartphones will be sold through Amazon India, Xiaomi’s online store and select retail outlets.
