Apple Watch Series 12 has been launched alongside the Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5 at Apple’s Surprise and Shine event.
According to reports, the new devices bring upgrades in health tracking, battery life, audio and smart features.
Apple Watch Series 12 Gets Health Upgrades
Apple Watch Series 12 is powered by Apple’s new S11 chipset and comes with an upgraded heart-rate monitoring system.
According to the company, the watch can record heart rate every five seconds for more continuous health tracking.
The smartwatch is available in 42mm and 46mm sizes and also features a new Health Sensing System.
One of the key additions is the new Readiness Score. It provides users with a daily score from 0 to 10 based on activity, training load, vital signs and sleep data.
The feature is designed to help users understand when they may need to rest based on their overall health and activity information.
Apple Watch Ultra 4 Focuses on Outdoor Users
The Apple Watch Ultra 4 has been designed for adventure, outdoor and endurance activities. It comes with the S11 chip
and Health Sensing System, along with features such as heart-rate monitoring, HRV, Readiness Score, Vitals and step tracking.
Apple says the Watch Ultra 4 can offer up to 50 hours of battery life. In Low Power Mode, the battery can last for up to 84 hours.
The watch is offered with Trail Loop, Alpine Loop and Ocean Band options. It also features a titanium design available in natural and black finishes.
Battery Life Gets an Upgrade
Apple Watch Series 12 offers up to 24 hours of battery life during normal use. During outdoor workouts, its battery can last for up to 10 hours, which is a 25 percent improvement over the previous generation.
The company also claims that 15 minutes of charging can provide up to 12 hours of battery life.
These improvements could make the new watches more useful for people who track health data throughout the day or regularly use them during workouts and outdoor activities.
Apple Watch Prices in India
The Apple Watch Ultra 4 starts at ₹1,09,900 in India. The Titanium Milanese Loop variant is priced at ₹1,24,900.
The aluminum model of the Apple Watch Series 12 starts at ₹56,900. Its titanium version costs ₹99,900, while the ceramic variant is priced at ₹1,24,900.
Pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4 have begun in India. Sales of both models are expected to start on September 18.
