Ather Energy has launched its new family-focused electric scooter, the Ather Konarc, in India. The new e-scooter starts at ₹99,999
and is built on Ather’s next-generation EL platform, making it the company’s first production model based on this new architecture.
The scooter will be available in S Line and Z Line variants. Deliveries are set to begin from September 21.
In the Indian market, the Ather Konarc will compete with the TVS iQube, Ola S1 series, Bajaj Chetak, and Vida electric scooters.
Variant-wise prices and range
The Ather Konarc S Line is available in multiple battery options.
100 km range: ₹99,999
125 km range: ₹1,21,999
161 km range: ₹1,44,999
The company has not yet announced the prices of the 200 km range variant.
The Konarc Z Line with 125 km and 161 km range options is also listed as “Coming Soon,” and its prices will be revealed later.
Sporty design with practical features
The Ather Konarc gets a fresh design that looks sharper than the older 450 series.
It features an LED headlamp mounted on the handlebar, U-shaped LED DRLs, a glossy black handlebar cowl, and a clean front design.
The scooter also comes with a wide single-piece seat, flat floorboard, integrated backrest, silver grab rail, and front storage cubby.
A touchscreen instrument cluster is also included for a modern riding experience.
Airwalk feature makes parking easier
One of the biggest highlights of the Ather Konarc is its Airwalk feature.
Since electric scooters are usually heavy, moving them manually in parking spaces or on slopes can be difficult.
With Airwalk, the electric motor helps move the scooter forward or backward at walking speed, making parking and maneuvering much easier.
The scooter also supports smartphone connectivity for added convenience.
Up to 200 KM range and 80 km/h top speed
The Ather Konarc uses the company’s new Bedrock battery system and comes with different battery pack options.
The top-end S Line variant offers a claimed IDC range of up to 200 km on a single charge, while the base version delivers 100 km.
The S Line has a top speed of 70 km/h, while the Z Line can reach 80 km/h.
Fast charging support
The scooter comes with a 450W built-in charger, allowing users to plug it directly into a standard household socket without needing an external charger.
Ather says the new EL platform also supports up to 900W onboard charging, which can charge the battery from 0% to 80% in around 2 hours, making it more convenient for daily use.
