Vivo has expanded its budget smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the new Vivo T5e.
The phone is aimed at young professionals who want long battery life, a durable design, and useful AI features without spending too much.
The Vivo T5e comes with a 5500mAh battery, Android 16-based OriginOS 6, a UNISOC T7225 processor, and an IP64-rated body for protection against dust and water splashes. Here’s everything you need to know.
Big Battery Designed to Last All Day
The biggest highlight of the Vivo T5e is its 5500mAh battery. According to Vivo, the phone can easily last a full day on a single charge.
The company claims the battery offers up to 18 hours of online video playback, 47 hours of music playback, 13.5 hours of social media usage,
and 28 hours of voice calling. The phone also supports 15W fast charging for quicker top-ups.
Vivo says the battery is designed to maintain good health for up to four years. It also supports reverse charging, allowing users to charge other compatible devices when needed.
To improve battery performance, the phone includes features such as Battery Life Extender, Super Battery Saver Mode, Sleep Standby Optimization, and Multi-Dimension Charging Protection.
Durable Design with IP64 Protection
The Vivo T5e is built for everyday use and comes with Military-Grade Durability for better resistance against minor drops and impacts.
It also carries an IP64 rating, which helps protect the phone from dust and water splashes.
Another useful feature is Wet-Hand Touch and Greasy-Hand Touch support. This allows the display to respond even when your hands are wet or slightly oily.
Vivo has also added an advanced cushioning structure inside the phone to provide extra protection to key internal components.
90Hz Display and Expandable Storage
The smartphone features a 6.74-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and navigation.
It also includes Sleep Comfort Mode and intelligent brightness adjustment to reduce eye strain during long usage sessions.
Powering the phone is the UNISOC T7225 octa-core processor. It comes with 4GB RAM and supports an additional 4GB of virtual RAM, offering up to 8GB RAM experience. Users can also expand the storage by up to 2TB using a microSD card.
Android 16 with AI-Powered Features
The Vivo T5e runs on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and includes several AI-powered tools designed to make daily tasks easier.
The AI Creation feature can summarize text, translate content, and rewrite it in a more polished format.
Other useful features include vivo DocMaster for document management, AI Cutout for removing photo backgrounds, and vivo Documents for making scanned documents clearer and easier to read.
Camera, Colors and Price
For photography, the Vivo T5e features an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
The phone is available in Shadow Grey and Aero Blue color options. It features a matte-finish frame, a clean camera design, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for a premium look and comfortable grip.
Vivo has launched the smartphone in a single 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant priced at ₹13,999. Buyers can also avail of select bank offers.
