Step-by-Step Guide to Link Aadhaar with UAN
Follow these simple steps to link your Aadhaar through the UMANG app:
Step 1: Download the UMANG App
Install the UMANG app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Step 2: Register Your Account
Sign up using the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar. Then create a 4-digit M-PIN for secure access.
Step 3: Open EPFO Services
Log in to the app, select the EPFO section, and tap e-KYC Services.
Step 4: Choose Aadhaar Seeding
Select the Aadhaar Seeding option and enter your UAN.
Step 5: Verify Your UAN
An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked with your UAN. Enter the OTP to continue.
Step 6: Complete Aadhaar Verification
You will receive another OTP on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number or email address. Enter this OTP to finish linking your Aadhaar with your UAN.
In most cases, the updated Aadhaar status appears in EPFO records within 24 hours.
How to Check If Aadhaar Is Already Linked
You can easily verify your Aadhaar linking status by logging in to the EPFO member portal using your UAN and password.
Go to the Profile Information section.
If your Aadhaar is linked successfully, you will see your masked Aadhaar number along with a Verified status.
UMANG App Now Offers More EPFO Services
EPFO has also added UAN activation and new UAN creation services to the UMANG app.
Many of these services now support Aadhaar-based Face Authentication (FAT), making the process more secure and user-friendly.
