Tata Motors has launched the new 2026 facelift version of the Tata Tiago in India. The hatchback starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹4.69 lakh.
This is the second major update for the Tiago. The car has been on sale in India for more than 10 years and earlier received a major facelift in 2020.
The Tiago continues to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios in the entry-level hatchback segment.
Multiple Variants and CNG Options
The 2026 Tiago is available in several variants including Smart, Pure, Pure Plus, Pure Plus A, Creative, and Creative Plus.
The base petrol manual variant is priced slightly lower than the Celerio. Meanwhile, the top petrol AMT version is positioned between the Celerio and Grand i10 Nios.
Tata is also offering CNG variants in most trim levels. This gives buyers more options compared to rivals.
The Celerio CNG is available in only one variant, while the Grand i10 Nios gets two CNG variants.
Same Engine With New Technology
The new Tiago continues with the same 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine.
The petrol version produces 86hp power. The CNG version delivers 75.5hp power.
Both manual and AMT gearbox options are available with petrol and CNG models.
For the first time in this segment, Tata has added paddle shifters to the Tiago CNG AMT variant.
Exterior Gets Sportier Look
The 2026 Tiago facelift comes with several design changes.
At the front, the car gets sharper headlamps, a slimmer grille, and a redesigned bumper with a larger air dam.
The side profile now features new 15-inch alloy wheels and black cladding around the wheel arches.
At the rear, Tata has added connected tail lamps, a cleaner bumper, and a more subtle roof spoiler.
The company claims the hatchback now offers 170mm ground clearance.
The new Tiago will be available in six color options including Daytona Grey, Pangong Pulse, Pristine White, Pure Grey, Sobo Surge, and Varanasi Vibrance.
Cabin Loaded With Features
Inside the cabin, Tata has redesigned the dashboard with a flatter and cleaner layout.
The steering wheel and center console have also been updated. AMT variants now get a rotary gear selector.
The hatchback comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a digital driver display.
Other features include wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rear AC vents, cruise control, connected car technology, cooled glove box, and dual wireless chargers.
Safety Features Improved
Tata has also improved safety in the new Tiago facelift.
The hatchback now comes with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), ABS with EBD, parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a 360-degree camera.
The company has also strengthened the bodyshell to improve passenger safety.
