People in Jamshedpur no longer need to spend hours waiting for Aadhaar-related work.
The Postal Department has started a special initiative at the Jamshedpur Head Post Office to make Aadhaar services faster and more convenient for everyone.
Under this new arrangement, Aadhaar services will now be available continuously for 12 hours every day.
The move is expected to benefit students, employees, business owners, and other citizens who usually struggle to visit during regular office timings.
Aadhaar Services Available from 7 AM to 7 PM
According to Postal Assistant Awadhesh Kumar from the Jamshedpur Head Post Office, citizens can now access Aadhaar services from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The extended service hours have been introduced especially for people who cannot visit during normal working hours because of jobs, studies, or business commitments.
With longer timings, residents can now complete their Aadhaar work more comfortably without taking leave or standing in long queues.
What Services Will Be Available?
The special Aadhaar campaign will provide several important services at one place.
People can update their biometric details, including fingerprints, iris scans, and photographs. Demographic updates such as correction of name, date of birth, gender, address, mobile number, and email ID will also be available.
Apart from updates, new Aadhaar registrations are also being done for children and people who do not yet have an Aadhaar card.
Documents Required for Aadhaar Updates
Awadhesh Kumar said that valid documents will be necessary for making changes in Aadhaar details.
For name correction, identity documents like passports and driving licenses may be required. For children, an updated birth certificate with a QR code will be needed. Depending on the service, other identity and address proof documents may also be asked for.
Postal Department Appeals People to Use the Facility
The Postal Department has urged citizens not to delay important Aadhaar-related work and make full use of this extended service.
With Aadhaar facilities available from morning till evening, people are expected to face less inconvenience and shorter waiting times.
Citizens who need more information about Aadhaar services or required documents can directly visit the Jamshedpur Head Post Office located in Bistupur.
Officials believe this initiative will make Aadhaar services easier and more accessible for residents across the city.
