Want to visit Somnath Jyotirlinga without spending money? Haryana government has announced a special opportunity for senior citizens of the state.
Under this scheme, eligible devotees can travel to Somnath completely free of cost.
The government will bear all expenses, including train travel, food, and accommodation.
This special journey will be organised under the Somnath Swabhiman Parv.
Free Somnath Train Will Run on June 8
According to the Haryana government, a special train for Somnath will leave on June 8, 2026.
The journey is being organised under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme.
Seats will be given on a first come, first serve basis.
Interested people must apply before June 6 to get the benefit of this scheme.
This is being seen as a major opportunity for devotees who wish to visit one of the most famous Jyotirlingas in the country.
Who Can Apply for the Free Pilgrimage?
The scheme is only available for senior citizens.
To apply, the person must:
Be 60 years or older
Be a permanent resident of Haryana
Have a family annual income of less than ₹1.8 lakh
Only people who meet all these conditions will be eligible for the free pilgrimage.
How to Apply Online
Eligible applicants can apply online through the Haryana government’s Saral Portal.
Visit Saral Haryana Portal and log in to your account. A
fter logging in, select the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme option and fill out the application form.
Applicants will also need to upload the required documents while submitting the form.

During registration, you will need to enter:
Full name
Mobile number
Email ID
New password
The password must contain:
At least 9 characters
One uppercase letter
One lowercase letter
One number
One special character
After entering the details, select Haryana as the state, fill in the captcha code, and submit the form.

Applicants will need the following document while applying:
Family Identity Card (PPP)
Officials have advised people to apply early because seats are limited and applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
