There is good news for crores of EPFO members across the country.
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation is preparing to make PF withdrawals much easier in the coming days.
Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya recently announced that under EPFO 3.0, members may soon be able to transfer their PF money directly to their bank accounts through UPI.
This means the withdrawal process could become faster and more convenient than before.
PF Withdrawal Process Set to Become Faster
EPFO has already started auto-settlement for eligible claims up to Rs 5 lakh.
Because of this system, many members are now getting their claims processed more quickly.
Now, with the upcoming UPI feature, users may no longer need to go through lengthy procedures to withdraw PF money.
The goal is to make the entire process digital and hassle-free.
However, experts say many PF claims still get delayed because member details are incomplete or do not match official records.
Why Activating UAN Is Very Important
Before using any EPFO online service, members must make sure their Universal Account Number (UAN) is active.
If the UAN is not activated, users may face problems in:
KYC verification
Online claim processing
Accessing new digital features
Using services linked with EPFO 3.0
Members should also check whether their name, date of birth, and other personal details match their Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account information.
Even a small mismatch in records can delay the PF claim process.
Keep Bank Account and Mobile Number Updated
EPFO members should also ensure that their bank account is properly linked on the PF portal.
The same bank account should be connected to the UPI service for smooth transfers in the future.
Apart from this, the mobile number linked with the UAN must remain active.
This is important because OTP verification is required during online transactions and claim processing.
Big Relief Expected for EPFO Members
The new UPI-based system is expected to make PF withdrawals easier for millions of salaried employees.
If implemented successfully, members may soon be able to access their PF money quickly without complicated paperwork or long waiting periods.
