Pharmaceutical company Pfizer Limited has announced a final dividend for shareholders despite reporting a sharp decline in quarterly profit for the financial year ending March 31, 2026.
The company’s latest earnings report showed weaker profits due to higher expenses and exceptional costs during the quarter.
However, Pfizer still rewarded investors by recommending a final dividend of 750 percent.
Pfizer Announces Rs 75 Dividend Per Share
Pfizer Limited’s board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 75 per equity share for FY26.
The announcement was made during the board meeting held on May 12, 2026.
The dividend will be given after shareholder approval at the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The company has fixed July 17, 2026, as the record date to determine which shareholders will be eligible to receive the dividend.
Profit Falls Nearly 40% in Q4
Pfizer reported a net profit of Rs 199.8 crore for the March 2026 quarter.
This was a sharp fall of 39.6 percent compared to Rs 331 crore reported in the same quarter last year.
The company said profits were affected mainly because of:
Higher operating expenses
Employee separation-related costs
Exceptional charges worth Rs 49.2 crore
Absence of one-time gains received in the previous year
Despite the profit decline, the company’s revenue increased during the quarter.
Revenue from operations rose 6.3 percent year-on-year to Rs 629.2 crore, compared to Rs 591.7 crore in the same period last year.
EBITDA and Annual Performance
Pfizer said its EBITDA increased 3.7 percent to Rs 236 crore during the quarter.
However, the EBITDA margin slightly declined to 37.5 percent from 38.4 percent a year earlier.
For the full financial year FY26:
Total revenue stood at Rs 2,519.65 crore
Net profit came at Rs 722.43 crore
