Getting a confirmed train ticket has become difficult for many passengers as Indian Railways continues to see a huge rise in demand.
On several busy routes, tickets get sold out within minutes of booking opening.
Because of this, many travellers are left with no option but to book waitlisted tickets and hope for confirmation later.
But now, there is some relief for passengers.
The newly launched RailOne mobile app can tell users the chances of their waitlisted ticket getting confirmed even before they book the ticket.
RailOne App Now Uses AI for Better Prediction
The Ministry of Railways recently launched the RailOne app for online train ticket booking.
The app comes with several modern features designed to make railway services easier for passengers.
One of the most talked-about features is its AI-based waitlist confirmation prediction system.
When users book a ticket, the app shows the probability of confirmation for waitlisted tickets.
Earlier, the prediction accuracy was around 53 percent, but after the AI upgrade introduced this year, the accuracy has reportedly increased to 94 percent.
This feature has received a positive response from users, especially those travelling on crowded routes where getting a confirmed seat is often challenging.
More Than Just Ticket Booking
RailOne is not limited to reserved ticket booking.
The app also allows passengers to book unreserved or general class tickets online.
Earlier, travellers had to use a separate app for general ticket booking, but RailOne now brings everything together in one platform.
Passengers can also buy platform tickets directly through the app.
Along with this, RailOne offers features like live train tracking and the option to file complaints online through the Rail Madad service.
Another major benefit is that users get a 3 percent discount while booking unreserved tickets through the app, making it even more useful for regular railway passengers.
